          In this topic, we were taught about the computer language, binary. I already knew that it has only two numbers used as a symbol. That's why it was called binary. The most exciting part was the conversion of binary, decimal and hexadecimal. It was fun when we were racing to decode the binary expression. Our teacher also taught us how to decode it much quickly like shortcuts. It was fun how the computers communicate.

          Another lesson was taught about data representation and the two types of data stored within a computer. We learned about those original and previously stored data or information. Digitizing was another sub-topic that we learned. We also learned about those device driver and plug and play. The common basic technologies for storing binary information and the four most important characteristics of storage devices was also added to my vocabulary that could be useful in times.

          This topic was short so my experience would be somehow, short too. We learned about the cycle and other information about input device, central processing unit (CPU), memory (RAM) and output device. And also, other terms such as control unit, arithmetic logic unit (ALU), main memory, secondary memory and I/O devices.

          Like our teacher said, "A software refers to any program that tells the computer system what to do". We also learned about the two types of software. The system software which was already in the computer to manage computer resources and the application software for personal and business tasks. We also learned about the operating system and its different examples. Other things related like compilers and PC platforms were also taught for more usable knowledge.

Computer System and Hardware Specs

          With this lesson, I was able to learn how the computer system works and what is its importance. I also learned its two main parts and its corresponding sub-parts.There are also three types of computer that I learned. It was the digital, analog, and hybrid computers. I also learned its weaknesses and advantages that could in some ways I could not know yet unless it happens.
          Hardware Specs was also taught so we could easily identify which computer is the best for our future job's criteria. I also learned about our computer's system requirements for us to choose wisely in case we need it in the future.
